Since 1952, the Pittsford Nursery School (PCNS) has been providing 3- and 4-year olds and their parents the opportunity to share their first school experience and to build special friendships. The tradition continues today with the love and support of parents like you. Our new Time for Two's - 2 year old program gives children a jump start into the world of discovery and learning through play and our Young Kindergarten program gives children the advantage of spending another year with us before attending traditional Kindergarten.
Nursery school is the beginning of the formal education process and a successful foundation sets the stage for a lifetime of learning. At PCNS we are committed to nurturing the unique assets of each child. We believe that play is the work of children and that children learn by doing, by trying and by succeeding. Therefore, an experiential approach to learning is emphasized. Our most important goal is to have each child develop a positive self-image, and an interest and joy in learning.
